Quick question. In the Usagi Chronicles Netflix show, is Usagi his first name or surname? The way it's written on the wiki page implies that it's the surname (兎 由一), but the way he's addressed in the show makes it sound like it's his first name?
For reference, Ancestor Usagi's name is written Miyamoto first, then Usagi, like so: 宮本 兎 , hence the confusion.
All of this is to say that I've finally started watching it to familiarize myself with the plot so I can start laying down some of the framework for the Turtles Forever fic. Yes, I'm serious, even from this far back. I've already got a few ideas cooking, and I need to make sure I don't write myself into a corner.
Also, can I just take a moment to talk about how much of an absolute dork this kid is? Like, forget being a samurai, this is the legacy the Usagis carry. I am going to have so much fun having them meet and interact in the fic, you don't even know.
He is also perfect for Rise Leo, oh my gosh. The energy these two have. That is also something I am going to have fun with whenever they're around '03 Leo and Sagi.
...Although I also have to decide if I want R!Leo and UC!Usagi to meet before the events of the movie or during. Both have their pros and cons story-wise.
I still need to finish watching the 2012 series, but I'm wondering if I should include that Usagi too? From what I remember, people don't ship '12 Leo and Usagi (something about their ages, I believe), but since the two universes are so closely entwined, it only makes sense that a huge multiversal threat to the turtles would eventually drag multiversal Usagis together too. And if I bring in 2012 Usagi, that means 1987 Usagi might as well join the party.
As I'm writing this, I just thought of an angsty moment where SAINW!Leo sees DotS!Leo with his Usagi, their relationship well established by that point. So perhaps I can have both my fluffy Leo confession scene AND my heartwrenching one, after all!
