You've never been so predictable.

Especially when, I based all my guesses

on an uncharacteristically swaying principle. 

I was sure I'd avoid this brand of consternation,

but, I never thought you'd live up to my exact expectations. 

Perhaps you're like a good book that has to be read over a few times

Once you've figured out all the words, the reused metaphors,

 it's really not so difficult to read between the lines. 

So, I couldn't get mad at you for my own delusions of hope

but I will say "fuck you" for not being honest enough to cut the rope.

If it's some sadistic pleasure, some boost of self esteem, that keeps you reeling,

I would understand, but I don't think you care even that little.

To tell you the truth I want all your reasons to be indecision,

because then, at least I couldn't hate you for such a mutually shared feeling.
