oh my god so for like 5 years i've had this faint memory of a mini series about a trans girl that i remember watching when i barely knew what trans was and it quite literally changed me as a person and probably starting the un-egging process (i distinctly remember it came out around the same time as the woman who fell to earth so i think that was the Week of Transgenderism in my head) and I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT AND IT'S ON ITVX !!!!!!

Wow, Butterfly on ITV... I’m really interested in the show and how it shows Maxine’s transition.

If you’re in the UK, you should be watching Butterfly on ITV every Sunday; it’s about a family where the “son” (I say that in quotes because she’s a trans girl) transitions into a girl (MTF).

I don’t know if any transgender people have watched it but I’m curious to know if it’s (so far) a good representation of what trans individuals go through? I know the people on the show consulted with Mermaids (who give advice and help to transgender youths and their parents) but I myself have no experience with it.
