A diver, though she’s currently in the nursery with her two kits, Sealkit and Mistkit. Mate to Fidgetnose.

Butterflyleap is a voice of firm optimism, which is a welcome source of wisdom especially now for RippleClan. Her seemingly unending positivity keeps her clanmates going and reconsidering their own thoughts after all the recent loss, and she’s happy it does, as she does not want to bring her kits up in a cynical or frayed clan. 

Her hope should not be mistaken for weakness, though she once was a much more naive cat. Trusting and easily charmed, she was quick to do whatever she could to make others happy, especially as an apprentice, sometimes at the cost of her own happiness. Being stepped all over a few times has left her with a healthy dose of reality but not without her kindness. She is firm in her needs and expectations but will not let anyone tarnish the light that blooms from her and that she can give to others. Cats often joke that her mate, Fidgetnose, left one pillar of light for another, as he was previously the kittypet that lived in the lighthouse near RippleClan territory.

Here we have something more serious but still shit-posty. I imagined Vervainkit and Milkweedkit would be the ones who would most likely go to Riverclan with their sire. The question was, how?

Well, Vervainkit and Milkweedkit are both very water-loving, so they sneak out of the nursery one day and go all the way to the lake to swim, but quickly lose control because, well at this point they're less than a moon old. For some reason Rainfleck and Perchgorse are hanging out (Perchgorse used to be warrior, so maybe they're buds and go hunting together sometimes? Maybe Perchgorse needed someone to help her gather herbs and Rainfleck didn't feel like going on patrol? Who knows.) and they save the kits. The kits say they don't have a mother (because Butterflyleap is nonbinary, so they aren't really a 'mother'), their clan scent was washed off from the water. And, because Milkweedkit looks exactly like Milkweedstar, and has the same prefix, they deduce that these kits must be Milkweedstars (his flirty ways have to catch up eventually) So they bring the kits to their leader, and he is just as surprised as them, at least initially he is - he remember how he and Butterflyleap had grown close as friends, BUT Butterflyleap abruptly called off their weird friends-with-benefits/budding-romance out of nowhere a few moons back, without an explanation. Also, when Milkweedstar is mumbling while having flashbacks, he is trying to say he never had a mate. Realizing Butterflyleap must have broke things off because they were expecting, Milkweedstar decides to keep the kits. He IS NOT doing it maliciously, but he knows that his deputy and medicine cat know both that these kits are his, and he doesn't want Butterflyleap to catch any flack or have their deputy position or reputation jepordised. Although, Milkweedstar is still pretty hurt that Butterflyleap kept the kits a secret from him. AND SO Milkweedkit and Vervainkit grow up in Riverclan being raised by their father, forgetting about Skyclan, Butterflyleap and their siblings quickly because of their young age (Which isn't that far-fetched, because it happened to Mistyfoot and Stonefur too)

Butterflyleap has the best singing voice and kinda hums? You know where she is bc she just hums to herself!

ohh yes absolutely canon. she’s got a very melodic voice and doesn’t even think about it when she’s humming to herself!she thinks laughter and singing are important to picking up moods! happy sounds make you happy. mistkit and sealkit love to try and sing along with her already and they’re tryna teach themselves to sing in a little round with her.

5: first headcanon that pops into my head: she was named butterflykit because of her ears! her mom loved her ears--- thought it was so adorable that it looked like she had little butterfly wings on her head.
