With the Shell finished, it was time to sculpt the snail body.

Seeing as butter comes in stick form in the US, I built off that shape.

This shot was kinda cute in the moment. The snail 'meeting' its' new shell.

I decided last minute that I wanted to add even more depth to the sculpt, and gave it a buttermilk trail. This will turn translucent, with a yellowish tint, once baked.

I find that I like to use mostly colored clay, to save on the need to paint. However, I'll be adding highlights and touch-ups after baking.
