Tom Hiddleston by Bryan Chojnowski // Kong: Skull Island (2017)
The best thing about it, honestly, is working with Chris again. I first met him in Kenneth Branagh's house in England in 2009. We were mere children, in the very beginning of our acting journeys. We made an instant connection, and it's been extraordinary to share the ride with him—this mad journey with Marvel. Anthony Hopkins has been on set this week. And Taika Waititi is magnificent. He has found a way of honoring everything that came before but doing his own thing. And he's so funny. His films—and if you haven't, you must seek them out: What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople—they have this combination of light-hearted, good humor and emotion. They're very moving. Everyone's really happy.
sometimes i don't even know what i'm doing with my life anymore
I really don't want to sound like a dick or disappoint you but there are also chances Tom will not answer or thank us for TBP.
I personally never expected that Tom would answer us. He's busy, tired and must be crawling under a ton of fanmail :(
So yeah, I hope you can understand why I'm saying this
Interviewer: People say you speak a better French than Bradley Cooper, is it true?
Tom: Really? You'll need to judge by yourself!
I learnt your tongue in my school in England from 10 to 16. Afterwards, I worked in France in a theatre company and more recently, I shot Midnight in Paris under the direction of Woody. I try to practice as much as I can to not lose it!
Interviewer: If you were a vampire, who would you like to bite?
Tom: Ah! I love this question! Wait, let me think about it ... It should be someone who posses poesy in himself because it's something that is getting rare ... I'd bite someone who constantly wants to learn and to get better during his life and use his immortality wisely but at the same time, someone who will not be scared to enjoy it. I'd say Thom Yorke (leader/singer of the group Radiohead). David Bowie. And a woman, Tilda of course!
