No, not really. I'm surprisingly at ease with the fact I've been rejected. In fact, he mentioned it earlier but I completely overlooked it and misunderstood. 

Even talking to someone he doesn't have feelings for anymore, he's still an awfully sweet kid. I respect him so much for reminding me that even though he doesn't like me anymore, all the things he told me, he meant.

That's the biggest part of letting go of someone, and the most painful. Looking back on all the things they said and did and thinking that it was all a lie, that you aren't actually as pretty/fantastic/gorgeous/worth it as they said. So thank you, thank you to infinity that you reminded me not to hate myself for not being good enough. The kid knows me almost better than I know myself.
