I promise to be a good Democrat today and not address any of the blatant and uncalled for homophobic rhetoric that has been thrown around by a select few on Twitter and Facebook. I won't make any more political statements, but I will say that whenever there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon that our country might be moving in a positive direction, there is always an undercurrent of antiquated, and deep-seated hate that pulls us back. That is all.
