PAST:

Sandra was born well into her father’s career, and has been raised with strict ideals. Every move she has taken in her life has been monitored by someone, either her parents, her bodyguards of past, or by the media- even more since her father’s vocal stance against Mutants.

Her privileged status was made apparent to her after she got into a fight with another child in school when she was eight years old. Even though she started it and did the most damage, it was the other child who was reprimanded and punished. For many years she abused her status through her school life, enjoying the power of being a high flying politician’s daughter and more than once deliberately getting other students in trouble or framing them for her bad deeds. When she left school, her attitude rapidly changed when she witnessed a friend of her’s, Arnold Fry, was beaten to death by her overzealous bodyguard at the time, after she had fabricated an attack on her after a spat they had the previous day. Wracked with grief, guilt and a sharp reality check, Sandra took a rapid spin away from who she had once been and started to turn on her father, who after she confessed to lying about the attack simply said she should have known better and “it was a good job you hadn’t accused someone of importance”.

Given her skill for manipulating people, Sandra decided to sell information about her father’s campaigns to rivals and in that year her father’s reputation dampened. When Mutants were revealed to the world however and her father spoke out against them, his status once again revitalized, and Sandra decided to become a Mutant ally to both spite her father and further damage his career. Thus far she hasn’t been caught due to her father’s blind adoration for her and simultaneous underestimation of her- she is invisible to him outside of being his beautiful china doll daughter.

PRESENT:

For the last two months Sandra has been passing information about her father and any relevant Mutant information, including the addresses of key anti-Mutant politicians such as Reginald Locke, to both the Brotherhood and X-Men.

Tove is a thirty-two-year-old human and is portrayed by Katheryn Winnick

Story

Tove is a survivor of the Apocalypse, and has lost her home and family in the carnage that it wrought. She is deeply haunted by ghosts of her past but is desperately trying to move forwards. She is slowly adapting to modern life in Polis, but spends the vast majority of her time outside of the town's borders, fighting off monsters and attempting to find survivors. 

She was born and raised in a small settlement, isolated from modern civilisations. She spent her life learning to tend to the land which she and her people thrived upon, and from a young age aided in fending off attacks from wild monsters. She lived a relatively simple but happy life.

Tove had grown as the eldest of four other children, and when her parents died - her father on an expedition and her mother birthing her youngest child - she was thrust into the role of adulthood in order to care for her younger siblings. Since that day, Tove has seen it as her duty to care for others weaker than herself. Over the years, she became increasingly efficient in wielding both an ax and a sword, which she wields in order to protect her people from attacks outside of their settlement.

However, Tove's calling was never to be that of a warrior, and by her twentieth year, she was wed and expecting her first child, a boy whom she named Leif. Twelve years passed where Tove thrived in her role as mother and wife, and during this time she welcomed another healthy child in her family, this time a young girl, named Meardh.

The Apocalypse shattered Tove's blissful life, however. First, her young daughter fell ill with an unknown virus which affected many members of the small tribe. In less than a week, all those who had been infected, died. Her settlement was left both devastated and weakened. While Tove and her people were still reeling from this loss they were caught unawares as a group of both monsters and demons attacked.

Tove took up arms to defend herself and her people, but it was ultimately for naught. Only Tove and a handful of her people were able to escape and went fumbling into the wilderness in retreat. Among the survivors was Tove's husband, Llyr, but her son, Leif had too perish in the ambush. For many weeks they wandered; hungry and injured and sick, until finally they came to the gates of Polis.

They were welcomed into the new city, however daunted by this modern technology most did not chose to stay. Those that did, Tove promised peace and happiness here, but it seemed her promises could not be upheld. Within a few days inside the cities walls, her husband perished from wounds he had sustained.  

Still, Tove choice to remain in the city and adapt rather than slink back into her old ways. She signed up for the city's patchwork military unit, who protect the cities borders and venture out into the dangerous, monster infested lands to search for supplies and survivors. She has been placed into a group with four comrades, Camalus, Kairos and Nym. 

Personality

Tove has a mother's heart, she is kind and generous and fiercely protective of those she loves; she is wise and cool headed but can be ferocious when angered. Tove is truly a lioness. Her duties as a mother was always her primary concern, but her children did not simply stop at her own blood; Tove is willing to give aid to anyone in need, but she is not one to be taken advantage of.

However, after the death of her children and husband, Tove has become more solemn. She finds it harder to smile and often finds her patience warring thin; she finds she has to push herself to help others more than she once had, and finds a disturbing pleasure in killing that she has never experienced before. Her grief weighs heavy on her shoulders and is turning her heart black, but Tove is still unwillingly to unburden herself just get. But how far can she carry this darkness before it consumes her?

Relationships

Llyr, Leif, Meardh

Tove loved her family with her entire being and their loss has crushed her. However she has not fully accepted her grief just yet.

Her relationship with her husband was passionate and the two viewed each other as absolute equals; Tove believes there is no man which could replace her Llyr and thinks her heart incapable of loving another. But while her husband's death was hard to take, her children's was unbearable. Tove had carried them inside of her, nursed them at her breast, had fought to keep them alive only to bury them in early graves. Never would she again see Leif practice with his sword; never would she comb Meardh's long, golden hair; never would she kiss them upon the cheek nor tuck them in at night. She would never see their faces again, and that thought is too much for Tove to bear. 

Camalus, Kairos and Nym

Tove sees the three as comrades rather than friends. She was put with them out of necessity and has no desire to grow close to nor confide in them. She no longer wishes to care about others and thus tries to put distance between them and herself. However, even if she would not admit it, she is growing to love the three as the family that she has lost, and in time she would no doubt lay down her life for them. 

Solomon Wynter

Solomon is the leader of Polis, and while Tove does not know him personally she has a great deal of respect for the man.
