he flipped his phone over in his hands, almost as if he was making sure it was real. everything seemed strange these days. different. there was something inside him that decided he was going to really try. try to change. try to care. try to even live. and that started with making amends with one of the most important people in his life. finally, declan bit the bullet and turned the phone over, beginning to punch in the number. he gingerly rested the phone against his ear as he waited for the person to answer. when the ringing finally stopped, he took a slight and soft breath. “hey.” his voice gentle and sincere. “you have time to talk?”
