There was nothing I wanted to do more than be unconscious again, wrapped in black, gone away. I was raw. I felt swollen with potential tears, like a water balloon filled to burst. Begging for a pin prick.

Sander Marroquín | 200-250 | Colonel (or maybe Captain or Lt.), Red Corps
rough summary: has probably fought in far too many human wars than is strictly socially acceptable for a member of the seelie court. vanished for an odd half century in his younger days before reappearing when the red corps was established after wwi. sander is a cornerstone of the corps: very much the well-dug roots at the foot of the tree, so to speak. reliable and even-keeled in every situation, especially those of high stress. difficult to read at the best of times, but always honest (though not forthcoming about his own life and habits).
protective of humans, but always quietens down before he can voice anything overly sympathetic about them. smokes too much, works too much, cares too much about younger fae getting in over their heads. plans to sleep when he’s dead.
