“You absolutely did a number on Aiden, because he will not stop talking about the zoo, and how aunt Adri is absolutely the best!” Aspen began, as the door opened, blue eyes falling upon Adrienne. A kind, and rather appreciative smile pasted upon her features as she made her statement. “I also owe you -- thank you for taking him for a few hours the other day. Some stuff came up, and you were an absolute lifesaver.” As she made her way into her friend’s home, Aspen held up a paper bag, that gave away the object within, since it formed over the shape of a bottle. “I bought wine.” She announced, “Aiden wants to know when you’re going to take him out again, and I told him that mommy’s next, because I could absolutely use a couple of drinks, and some adult time.” Aspen added, as she sat the bottle down on the nearest flat surface. “And I’m thinking that we could either do that here, or -- we can go out, and paint the town red. Whatever you’re feeling tonight, my love. Because I’m down for either or.”
