June had just wiped down her station when the bell over the shop door chimed. She didn’t look up right away. ''Be with you in a sec.'' she called, already clocking the sound of two sets of footsteps instead of one. When she finally glanced up, her eyes immediately settled on the blonde and a warm smirk curved her lips. She got up from her station and walked towards the entrance of her shop. ''Hey.'' she said, voice warming as she approached, eyes flicking between them before settling, just a second too long, on the blonde. ''You're in the right place. Who’s the brave one?''

June, with a small cup of popcorn in her hand, she sat in the corner of the ballroom, surveying the newest charity event that her mother was running. June rolled her eyes when a certain opponent’s son entered her eyesight. She frowned at him. “Hey, Worthington, will you move? I’m about to witness Jacobs and Mendes get into it about a debate on gun control.”

Of course the elevator had to be out on the hottest day of the year so far. Sal tried to take his time, but it still felt like it was a second workout as he dragged his way up the stairs. He recognized a figure up ahead on the stairs but didn’t have the energy or desire to speed up, instead just raising his voice. “How you feeling? Doing better?”
POV you finally captured the Hero you unilaterally decided is your Nemesis and you and she and she is but you and she and you are but she and

Sal was strategically avoiding people since The Epigram’s post - sending emails and texts instead of in-person meetings and delegating tasks that would require him to leave the office. On the bright side he caught up on admin work. On the not-so-bright side, everyone knew his business - his actual worst nightmare.
And now another small nightmare - too busy with work and then school, he hadn’t had time to make anything for dinner so he was stuck having to get food at Monroe’s. Of course, it was crowded, and he struggled to find a seat until he spotted June alone. “Can I sit?” he asked, motioning toward the seat opposite her. “I’ll go as soon as my food’s ready.”

They’d made a mistake. It was his own fault, but in his defense, he hadn’t committed a crime since texting became so incriminating. He didn’t know how someone else could’ve accessed it, but an exact transcript of a few text exchange with June had been emailed to him from an address that was just a scramble of numbers and letters. He didn’t even know if June got the same thing, but he left his lunch break on the quad and went to the computer room in search of her anyway.
In the wake of Kishan’s death, the absence of the Grid was even more pertinent and overwhelming than it’d been before. It was frustrating to think every single day that between all the smart people in the group, they still couldn’t figure out what was wrong. The initial concern about a man named Jonas who’d apparently been poking around still hadn’t left Sal’s mind, but he had yet to find an appropriate time to really talk with another member of the group about the man. He figured by now they all knew about his presence, and the questions he’d been asking, and they’d probably all done some online stalking. He’d only done some rudimentary stuff, but he believed the others, with greater understanding of technology, probably gathered even more about him. That no one had shared with the rest of the group something about the man that either fully exonerated or condemned him was making Sal antsy now.
When Sal was grabbing a quick bite at the diner on his lunch break, he spotted June at a booth and figured now, when it was on his mind, was the best time to talk to her. Obviously if she was busy he wouldn’t press, but he assumed if anyone had gotten deep into Jonas’s social media and computer use, it was her. After placing his order, he informed the server he was going to switch to another booth and crossed the dinner to slide in across from June. There was an idea - an extreme idea - brewing in his mind, but he didn’t want to jump to such drastic action without talking to someone else first. “Do you have a minute to talk?”
