Could you show us zim in human form it doesn’t need to be incorporate into the main story your telling I’m just curious if he looks like a miniature zam/Sam and or everyone just reacting to it and making it harder for dib to expose zim
I guess they do look similar, but not the "mini me" type, more like the "I can tell this is your son" type of similarity
The only time I could imagine him having a "better" disguise is when they visiting the grannies Zam lived with(tho everyone in town already knows Zam is also an alien, they just didn't have the heart to tell him yetXD)
Also, ironically, in the "what if Tenn is Zim's twin" au, Tenn's disguise looks more similar to Zam's because they copied his just to annoy Zim

repost uh IM TRYING TO PRACTICE DRAWING THE TALLEST AND. I love drawing Zita =3
Projects my pain on them because I hate them and periods suck
heres something that i will call the favorite character canvas
you know the way music reaches survivors of brain injuries/diseases, and those with mental health conditions & neurodiversities in unexpectedly positive ways, would it be safe to assume dib could be reached through music at times?
thinking about a time where he's having a panic attack that keeps ramping up despite all best efforts and zim frantically finds some music he knows dib used to like to calm him down. or his most dissociative moments where gaz will play his old favourites (even though she hates them) and watch some part of him come back to her, even if it isn't a total return of her brother.
really i'm just asking for music comfort with a side of zadwhatever and membrane sibs 🥺🥺🥺🥺
You know what can be extra sweet? That one of those songs is an old irken song for smeets from irken culture that Zim would sing to him. Sure, it's probably a song full of Irken propaganda considering that the Irken Empire is a dictatorship; a cute song made to inspire the smeets into serving the Empire and give their lives to it, but one that Zim grew fond of as a source of inspiration during his life as an invader, now giving it another interpretation as a song to protect Dib. It could also be a song from Irken folklore, like those old ones that give valuable morals for smeets and have been sung for generations.
Dib wouldn't understand shit at first, but having Zim sing to him in his mother lenguage with a caring tone is absolutely comforting. I can picture Dib even trying to sing along, not knowing how to pronounce Irken words so he just speaks nonsense (considering that all of this would happen during the Healing Arc, because Dib in his brainwashed state would not really attempt to imitate what he thinks is just Zim inventing words to keep his lies about being an alien.)
The one about Gaz and Dib is also very bittersweet, I can see it happening too. I like to think that they used to spend some time playing videogames together as a way to solve their arguments or just, be there. Dib sometimes wouldn't be playing, but just watching her play, and help her with the puzzles, like going through silent hill with her destroying the monsters and Dib taking notes of the story. I wonder if Dib, now having tons of visual and physical disabilities, would be able to even play normally, maybe after going through a lot of recovery.
If u want me to offer songs that may relate to this, I can think of liana flores - recently (EP) since the instruments and overall theme of her songs are perfect for the arc and their relationship, I can also list the song Origami by The Rare Occasions since it captures perfectly Dib's feelings during the healing arc
