Rhianne sat at a small table in the canteen, twirling a spoon around in the cup of tea had she made. The book that was in her small bag when she was captured sat on the table in front of her. To say she was bored was an understatement. She had already swam her usual laps in the ocean, which was obvious by the black bikini she still wore, and wasn’t sure what to do next.

When a shadow moved on the table, she glanced up, eyebrows raising at the man standing there. She brought a hand up, resting her chin on the back of her fingers as she stared at the handsome man. “Can I help you?” She asked, seeming the innocent, polite princess that the world thought she was.

“Hey, do you remember this one week we've spent at this abandoned house at the beach? The one we've skipped classes for?” Clyde turned towards the vampire, an amused smile on his lips. He must have been one of the least emotional people on this island yet he couldn't help reminiscing, escaping harsh reality for once. That in itself should have been weakness enough in his opinion. “It's gone now. I've been there last week or so. A pity. I think this was my favorite week on this godforsaken island” Clyde could sense his friend's puzzled look and he merely gave a smirk in return. “I just thought I let you know. I mean by now I'm sure I've had more of your blood than my own in my system. Gotta pay you back somehow, huh?”

Keith wasn’t exactly what one would call hard-working in most senses of the word. He’d always been able to get by on good looks, charm, and his willingness to easily spread his legs for anyone he deemed either good looking or useful enough. Which was why he was surprised to have been called back for an second interview for a job at the bar. He’d spent his first visit there blatantly flirting with the bar manager, and had dressed unprofessionally in nothing but a tank top and a tight pair of denim shorts having all but forgotten about the initial interview and having threw on anything before coming. That was until he showed up to the 2nd interview realized that the manager was interested in having a much more intimate relationship than was professionally recommended.

His voice was strained, unsteady, more nervous than usual as he made the call. Things were getting out of control and he didn’t know who else to call in this situation. Samuel was a mess, but he was the one person in this world he trusted with his whole world and-- let’s face it. If he was gonna get away with murder, there was no one else he could turn to.

So he stammered, getting the words out as best as he could.

“Remember that rapist that... that popped up in the news a few days ago? I-- huh--- I kinda. I’m-- There’s-- Shoot. There is a h-human popsicle of him on the 33rd with Locke street--- c-can you-- h-help me?”

“N-no, that’s not what-- That’s not what hap- She’s not my girlfriend!” Keith tried to explain to the guy who was eyeing him at the bar, and who he had been eyeing a little bit too after a little encounter with a girl.

Sure, he was handsome. He knew it. He was still awkward and clumsy and that made him easy to approach, he figured. But there was still a very important issue that this flirty girl was not taking into consideration. One issue he didn’t really seem to be able to voice aloud in an articulate manner because--

Granted, being the new guy at anything was never an easy feature, but being a new teacher in the wild jungle that could be a high school was a whole new level of crazy. Keith had thought he was ready to face the challenge, but the nerves got the best of him, making him a little bit erratic.

“I mean... At least now I know where everything is. Thanks to you,” he added at last as their little tour around the school was coming to its end. “I owe you my life, basically. You’re my hero, Connors.”
