lynds I need to know what pet names you think the boys would use for their girls I need it 🥺😍

oh god this is like my favorite thing to think about

grayson:

baby: this is his go to. remember in the surgery bloopers when he asked for apple juice and he said ‘thank you baby!” to lisa? then defended it with “it’s a term of endearment!!!” I feel like it just rolls of his tongue so easy. he uses it more than your name, whether it’s a simple “hey baby?” question from the kitchen or a proud little “that’s my baby”

gorgeous: he says this mostly in the morning, when you’re in the kitchen with his shirt on, head full of bedhead, little bit of toothpaste on your lips. “good morning gorgeous” is your favorite thing to wake up to. he always tells you how beautiful you are, the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen, but when he says gorgeous like you’re the only one with that title? you melt

baby girl: you hear this one in two specific instances: in bed, or when he’s comforting you. reminding you that you’re his, and that he’s always going to protect you, take care of you. you’re his baby girl, and he won’t let you forget it.

angel: this one holds a lot of meaning for him. we all know grayson has a thing for angels, the imagery, the protection and peace they provide. so he really thinks about it, ponders it, before he says “I love you angel” for the first time. And he saves it for serious moments, when he really wants you to know just how much you mean to him. cause you’re his angel, you saved him in his eyes.

ethan:

babe: he’s waited his whole life to call someone this, and it’s his favorite thing. casual but cute, and he uses it constantly, because anybody can call you your name, but only he gets to call you babe

munchkin/munch: this one started as a joke, and it stuck. at first you hated it, but it grew on you. he’d use it in little moments, like when he picked you up to put you up on the counter. it was weird, but it was something unique to the two of you that you couldn’t help but love

sweetheart: he uses this one to remind you just how much he loves you. when he’s trying to comfort you, take care of you. “sweetheart let me help” and “it’s alright sweetheart, im right here” 

love: this is what he says when he’s soft for you, which lets be real, is all the time. He doesn’t say it around other people, only when it’s just the two of you, or occasionally in front of grayson. it’s little things like “c’mere love” or just “my love” when he’s cuddled up with u im soft

concept: the first time y/n calling gray pet names? bubba, bubs etc

oh god

I feel like this wouldn’t even be a huge event. Like it would just slip out one day when you were at his house, getting ready for a trip to the beach in the early days of your relationship.

“Hey bubs, can you grab me a towel while you’re in there?” 

And he’d come around the corner from your all’s room, wide eyed and empty handed. 

“Huh?” He’d ask.

“Can you get me a towel to take? I forgot mine at home.”

“No, no, before that.”

“What?”

“Did you call me bubs?” 

You’d immediately be embarrassed, looking down at the counter, missing the fact that he was grinning from ear to ear. 

“Sorry, I didn’t really thi-”

But you wouldn’t finish because he’d be right there in front of you, bending down just barely so he could catch your lips with his.

“Don’t be sorry,” he said, lips still close enough to brush against yours when he spoke. “I like it.”

“Yeah?”

Gray just nodded, kissing you again. “I’ve never had anybody call me anything like that before. Feels good.” Now he was the one blushing, and you were both just stupidly giddy over such a small little thing. So giddy in fact that you both forgot to get your towel, which meant three hours later the two of you were cuddled together in the back of the van wrapped up in his, trying to stay warm. Eventually he’d bury his face in your damp hair with a smile and mumble

“I love you angel.”

You leaned back so you could look at him, heart and cheeks warm.

“Angel?”

“If the shoe fits,” was all he said, pulling you to his chest again.

oh god (also I feel like this is v personal to each person, but I just did some that I might use, hope thats okay!) 

pet names they would use

grayson:

baby: this one gets him so soft. if you want anything, ever - cuddles, food, help with something - all you have to say is “please baby” and he’s actual putty in your hands. when he cuddles up to your chest at night it’s “hi baby, missed you today” and in bed it’s “fuck baby, just like that”

g: everybody calls him gray, but not as many call him g. you don’t use it too often, just when you’re trying to get his attention, or it’s just the two of you and he’s kissing on your neck. for some reason it turns him on when you call him g.

bub/bubs: the softest of soft, this is your favorite one to call him. sometimes you even go for bubby. and at first he’s not sure how he feels about it, but soon he realizes he loves it just as much as you do, because you’re the only one who gets to call him that and it just reminds him that you’re his

ethan:

babe: he loves it, through and through. he calls you babe, you call him babe, and you both use it more than your own names most the time. calling each other from across the house, cheering each other on

etee: this one 🥺 makes him melt right there, and he never knew that stupid nickname could sound so pretty coming out of someone’s mouth. you never say it in front of anyone else, no one even knows you’ve ever said it. its your little secret, and you usually use it to convince him of something. “etee come to bed” in the middle of the night when he’s up editing

bug: he hates it until he loves it. makes him feel special and loved when you wrap your arms around him and kiss his arm and say ‘hey bug’. you aren’t even sure where it came from, where it started, but he loves it so much
