Halloween was Corinna’s favorite holiday. The lights and candy, plus the Hogwarts Feast, you couldn’t go wrong. As she sat at her table, listening mildly to one conversation happening not a few feet in front of her, she smiled to herself, taking another bite of the apple she had pulled from a bowl on the table, having a better time than she had in weeks. Her angel wings were spread out behind her, the halo she had enchanted out of silver was shining brightly as it hovered above her head, and there was candy everywhere.
However, as she looked over her shoulder every so often to look for someone she knew, she continued to spot the same person: Thorley Greengrass. Much to Corinna’s (silent) disapproval, Callias had told her that she was talking with him again since their falling out. Yet as far as she could tell, he still continued to flirt with anything that crossed his path. Her sister would be finding out who she was to be marrying soon, and she didn’t need the pain that Thorley might bring her, in Corinna’s mind.
After looking over her shoulder for the third time, seeing him talking with some giggling blonde from Gryffindor, she decided she couldn’t take it anymore. Standing abruptly from her spot on the bench, disrupting the couple next to her, she stalked over to where he stood, a scowl on her face and arms crossed. “Greengrass, could I have a word with you?” She shot the blonde a sharp look, causing her to go off in the other direction before turning her attention back to Thorley.
