open event starter: (0/4) location: the beach during the thalassa celebrations what: clyde in interview mode because he's curious
landing on the isle of olympus just as the thalassa games and consequent celebration were set to take place has added an extra layer of wonder and merriment to the whole ordeal. clyde, despite not really competing, still cheered on his brothers who managed to claim a victory. the energy was so infectious he couldn't help but be moved.
now things have wound down some, and the night sky is reflecting off of the shimmering waves hitting the shore nearby, providing comforting white noise that filters out some of the music and chatter happening all around.
it's the perfect backdrop, strangely intimate, calming. clyde is dressed in a suit, as he usually is, dress shoes and all, but he's sat in the sand without a care in the world. there's an ambrosia beer in his hand as he looks out at the waves, taking it all in. he hasn't drank much up until this point, always careful to be composed, and his stutter is a tricky thing that lessens drastically when he's tipsy but becomes stubborn if he drinks too much. it's a balancing act.
the ambrosia makes him chattier than he usually is, and that's saying a lot. he turns to the man sitting nearby, and purses his lips in thought before speaking up. "so, remind me again...did your team claim a victory today?" he takes a sip of the beer and leans back with an easy smile. "and who is your godly parent? that still feels like such a strange question to ask, but it's a part of our realities now, isn't it? it's a lot to take in..."
clyde wants to pick everyone's brain, know everything there is to know about this other worldly experience. maybe even share it with the world someday. his fingers itch to pull out the notepad in his breast pocket, practically burning against his chest, but he refrains. he quirks a brow, and offers a warm smile, knowing he's getting ahead of himself, but he can't help it. "what does being a demigod mean to you? a super powered being plucked from normalcy..." a question he hopes to find the answer to himself. he laughs softly, "uh, sorry, i'm clyde, by the way. son of hermes. new here."
