❝ crying over spilled milk ❞

london was still growing accustomed to how fast-paced seoul seemed to be, but she did like to think she’d gotten a fairly solid grip on most things, from driving on the opposite side of the road to no longer being bothered by accidental bumps on the shoulder as busy men and women passed her.
she’s just finished her shift at the shopping centre, and she’s shrugging on her coat over her work shirt, too lazy to duck into the bathrooms to change; she’s only heading home after all. there’s a lollipop sticking out of the corner of her mouth as she waves goodbye to the other cashiers on her way out, and when she steps out of the shopping centre, she takes a deep breath and smiles.
the end of another work day calls for celebration, london thinks, and it has her taking a detour into one of the coffee shops for a quick pick-me-up. in less than five minutes, there’s a nice, warm cappuccino in her hands, and she cups both her palms around it, humming happily. the happiness, however, seems to distract her from everything else, because next thing she knows, her shoulder is colliding with someone else’s -- was that bright pink hair? -- and the paper cup is suddenly slipping out of her hands. “ah!”
