“They’ll go after one of us.” She said simply shaking her head at Ronnie. “You need to go. For me, go.” She ushered her, her own voice low; shoving her in an opposite direction. “I’ll be fine. I’m going to be a bit slower than you but I know my way home better than you do. Get cell reception and then call for help. You just have to trust me.” Eleanor didn’t wait for her response before she ran towards the noise.
Sometimes she wondered why she put herself in those types of situations where she HAD to brave it out. She glanced behind her to make sure that Ronnie had actually ran away before sprinting towards the noise. Settling for a moment she peeked around the tree, her eyes widening for a moment. Nothing was there.
Okay, so maybe separating wasn’t smart.
Eleanor turned on her heel, glancing around the scenery. “Ronnie?” She called out. She realized just then that she had pulled the biggest horror movie mistake. Splitting up.
