Where’s the last place you travelled to? Seattle, I guess. Long term travel was tour this summer when we went down the coast and up through Vegas. That was cool.

If you could only travel to one more place, where would it be? THE UK. HOLY SHIT THE UK.

I had the bestest time with my babies Colleenie and Pickens !!!! We got pancakes at Elmo's Diner after my basketball game (which my team won). I have two whole hours of school tomorrow and then IM FREE. (I'm so happy Colleen is home. I feel better when she isn't so far away.)

I am deliciously happy, today. I just can't help from smiling. There's something about blasting Die Young by Ke$ha in the car with two of my best friends ever and singing along all too loud, making yummy cinnamon pancakes and having freezepops and Austrian chocolate for breakfast, making ridiculous videos, and actually feeling legitimately moderately pretty for once, that really puts a grin on my face. I'm so glad my loves are home. I've missed them all too much. I'm going to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower with my aforementioned bestfriends tonight, in lei of writing a boring paper (but I've gotten halfway through the paper - it's so worth it to spend time with them). GUYS BUT REALLY, I'M NOT NUMB TODAY I FEEL BUBBLY AND HAPPY AND WONDERFUL AND ALL MY SMILES REACH MY EYES AND I CAN LAUGH AND IT'S LOVELY.

Dear Colleenie,

This is my formal apology for not being able to call you tonight. I promise we'll talk on the phone soon. Look, I just really wanted to say, dear, that I love you so much. I know you're going through a really tough time right now, and that the adjustment of settling into college life - somewhere new and unfamiliar with new people - does not help. I miss you so infinitely much. College, I can tell, will be hard for me too. I have trust issues, and I don't often like to be around people - I don't like the idea of having so many new and curious people in my life all of a sudden. I wish we talked more. I wish we could still go for drives in the SoobSoob and blast Marina with the windows down and scream Power & Control at the tops of our lungs. I wish we could still get thoroughly lost in Chapel Hill without the aide of your snarky British GPS, or even Lee, the friendly Australian GPS. I wish we could still go to Elmo's and order weird combinations of food, or dye hair, or get our faces painted, or be scared of Pickens' driving together. I wish we could Tumblr aimlessly together in the Mac lab, buy cool boots, or even draw pictures that end with my soul in a garbage can. Babes, I miss your face. And that damn wig app you had on your iPhone. Really, attaching purple wigs to people's noses is the highlight of my life. I'm sending all your bad feelings to our nasty sludge icicle in the middle of the Arctic where all the bad exboyfriends and horrible people go to wallow in the effects of global warming and get nommed on by not-cute polar bears. Nasty polar bears that look like they went for a swim in the gulf coast after the oil spill. Love always, always, always, The Emilia Child.
