Sweet little words from a sweet little one made her smile. It is so innocent. How cute she is. “You are so nice,” Stefani crouched to her level with a smile. “Do you know you are pretty too? And who is this?” She booped the nose of the stuffed animal. 

Children always reminded her of those days when she didn’t know the real world. Truth was farthest from her understanding. It was bittersweet.

Since the night Caleb had been reunited with Lana, they’d been decidedly NOT talking about things. Time passed with dance routines, shot contests, movies to fill a heavy silence that threatened to fall over the both of them. This night had been more of the same, celebrating learned death drops and perfect performances, Caleb mixing beer and vodka in his favorite Spiderman cup and pretending he enjoyed the taste. He was collapsed on the floor of his motel, picking at the dirt caked to the carpet, when he finally found himself asking, “So Viktor, huh?” He was smiling, small and sad, knowing. He was in no position to judge on that particular front. “How’d Eli take the news? I think they’re in competition right now. Viktor keeps asking me to shower at theirs, feels like a game.”

CALEB was rather proud of his outfit for the event, it’s obvious from the way he moves through the crowd, light on his feet but deliberately taking up as much space as he can manage. both his arms were splayed out, carrying full wine glasses he had no business finishing. he rocked almost steadily with the boat as he stepped, not worried about much besides the looks he knew he was getting and using the break he was taking from drinking with elias to try and sell some product. it was one particularly jarring wave, one misplaced step, that sent caleb veering backwards, desperately balancing the wine in his hands to keep any from spilling on his costume. unfortunately, he had been more concerned with keeping the white of his shirt pristine than keeping his own balance stable, and he found himself plopped rather unceremoniously into the lap of none other than lana jameson. “santa?” he teased, leaning back, obviously drunk. “i’ve been good this year, i swear!” @lanajvmeson

Natalie blinked a few times. There is another one? Where are these kids coming from? Does she have to fire someone for letting them wander around without supervision? Museums draw all types but usually their parents are keeping them on leashes. Sometimes that’s literal. 

“That’s really nice sweetie but I think you need to find your mom. Or dad. Or whoever brought you here. Or I could call security to help you.”
