Laura sat on the chair across from Stiles, sipping on a cup of coffee. Its been while since she was roaming around again, and was mostly just making stops on talking to those that were part of everything that had happened within her old home. "I want you know I'm still very happy that my body scared you & Scott." The ex-Alpha said looking at him. "Thats what you two get for poking around in things you shouldn't." She added but had a playful grin on her face. She secretly found it funny that the two happened to be the ones that stumbled across her. Laura moved a hand to her stomach where the long scar was formed. "Though I guess I have to thank you as well." She said.

“A few seconds?” Laura said with a small frown. “Hun, you were zoned out for the past like 5 minutes.” She said, moving to take Lydia’s hand. “Are you sure you are okay?” She asked, rubbing it softly.

There was a lot of different places Laura had been since coming back to life. The pack understood, the need to get away and see new things. She had spent sometime in New York with Derek, remember the times they were here after the fire. She was glad they could be normal after everything that happened. She was in a new city now, and was on her way to her hotel with a particular scent hit her nose. 

She walked past the building and followed it. She was trying to figure out the scent before she realized who it was attached to. It then took her a moment realize what he was. She had started to back away, not sure if he had seen her or not but also not sure if he was going to try and cause trouble.

Laura was tired. She had been running from hunters, chased out of Beacon Hills once again. It was to keep her family safe, knowing this time Derek & the others knew what to do without her. But it had been days and what seemed like no end in sight until this moment. The hunters seemed to give up and Laura pressed against the tree, panting as she was finally able to relax for two seconds. Her body ached to rest, but her mind was still on full alert. She was close to a town, the woods nearing the edge of a road. Its when she spotted him.

A thousand thoughts ran through her head as she couldn’t understand how Derek was here, she told him not to come. She told him to not follow. There was an anger that build up in her as she stocked toward him. “What do you think you are---” She started before really looking and using her senses to realize this man wasn’t Derek. He looked like him but it wasn’t her brother. “I...I’m so sorry, you looked like my brother. I apologize.” She said.

“How are you adjusting to things?” Laura asked. They still don’t know how she came back, but when she did, her eyes were red and that was an issue for another time. Right now she was focusing on the betas.

Probably Angst starter for @alphadelameutedelycan​ for Derek

Laura avoids going near the busier parts of the town, a jacket covering her mostly as she feels the wounds on her stomach trying to re-heal itself. She’d have to find Deaton later to figure out what the hell that was about, but she was trying to find her family. She could pick up a scent of Derek, something lingering but not to old that it was from years ago. She’s not sure how long its been since she passed away. Her grave said something like 2011, but she wasn’t sure how to even feel or believe that. There was a second scent, a hale scent, that she picked up the closer she got to the home Derek now lives in. 

Laura was sure Derek wouldn’t know what to say, but she needed to see him. Despite not knowing if she was still an Alpha, she had the need to make sure he was okay, not just because of the pack bond that was barely there, but he was her little brother.She can hear his voice, hear a smaller voice. Did he marry? Are there more Hales now? Did some survive? She has no idea, but there is hope in her that surges her to the door and moves to knock on it, a bit frantic as she does.

Laura held Lydia's hand, lacing it together as the theater darken around them. Did she want to go see a rom-com? Not really. But she was here for Lydia and just loved seeing Lydia smiling happily at the screen. At one point, she gently turned Lydia's face to her, Laura's fingers under her chin and gently kissed her softly. "I love you." She whispered before looking back at the screen.
