the two had just settled in for the weekend at his parents house. it had been a bit since he had been back home and he didnt have the heart to tell him family the two had broken up a bit ago. noah knew that he owed them big time. a soft sigh left his lips as he slid a beer over to them. "thank you do this.. i know my mum can be a little much somethings." he confessed. "but it really means a lot you flying out here with me."

 The nice weather was just the perfect excuse Lucielle needed to take a stroll around the school’s ground in search of the infamous Noah Greene, a guy she’d rarely approach. Spotting the subject of her thoughts sitting on a nearby bench, the blonde bounced towards him, excitment fluttering in her stomach. “Lovely day, isn’t it?” Lucy shot him a bright smile as she sat down next to him, leaning on her arm so she could get a little closer. “Some would say it’s perfect for a date.”

"hear me out before you turn me down." noah turned to his best friend from the couch. "what if we skip the party completely... bailed on the bar and just did our own thing?" he suggested. "my ex is supposed to be there anyways and not that i really care if we run into each other, i would just rather not be forced to have the most awkward conversation." he mused. "please, don't make me beg."

noah had sat at the table in the diner a little nervous. he hadn't known about the lifestyle that elisa was in. so naturally he hadnt known about benji being from a criminal background as well. it was probably for the best noah had always been a shy and anxious person. there was a reason that elisa hadnt him about her family. the two had been friends during college and had even been roommates until she had to drop out. they had kept into contact and once she had heard he was single once again she jumped at the opportunity to set him up with benji.

elisa had felt like she had owed the man since he did get a broke nose for her. noah's palms were a little sweaty as he ordered himself another water wondering if his date had bailed at him. then he saw the man walk to the table. he couldnt help but notice how handsome he was as he had prayed that was his date. "benji?" he asked him softly making sure it was the right person.

dating was something new for noah. when he had been introduced to benji he hadnt expected it to go very far. to his surprise things had took off and things had been- fun. noah had enjoyed hanging out with the other man and seemed to be doing it more and more. the more he hung with benji the more he had felt himself falling for him. however he had still never met the others friends or family and felt it a little strange. sure the two hadnt been officially together but noah had felt like they were getting pretty serious.

as the two sat at the diner he took a drink of his coffee. “my mum asked if she could meet you.” he murmured to the other a bit worried about his reaction as he sat the coffee down and looked up at him now. “i mean i had told her i was kinda seeing you and…”

noah had nodded when she had said that life took unexpected turns. he wasnt really sure how much of that he believed, he had thought that everyone made their own path. but he wasnt going to disagree with her. he had spent years trying to get her attention and now that he had it he wasnt fixing to argue with her over pointless life quotes. "yeah it does.." was all he said and then he chuckled, "you dont want a dog and kids?" he asked her. "i guess i get it. i dont think i would want to be in my twenties having kids with someone in their forties.. no offense, i didnt mean to be rude." he tried to correct himself before chuckling, "tile... you want me to come see your tile?" he asked her making a strange face for a moment. "i mean- i can pretend like i know something about it but i do good to match my own socks."

Noah laid back on the bench on their back patio. He knew that he needed to get up and get moving. It was their night to host game and movie night with their friends. However the way the sun had kissed his skin felt too nice to move. He had zero motivation to leave their back yard. When the door opened he looked back to see his partner standing at the sliding glass door. “I know- i was just getting up.” He lied still making no real movement to get up. “You know we could always cancel and just have a night in, just the two of us.” Noah always did this when it came time for them host. “we did just see them all at the pub last night. Which you looked absolutely handsome for by the way. I’m not sure if I got around to telling you that blue is really your color.”

he had been deep in conversation as he had spoke to a couple friends at the party. when his head turned a little he had froze. seeing her standing there had took his breath away like it always had, it was like seeing her for the first time and something chemical taking over in him. though he hadnt dare came out and told her how she made him feel. that would just be foolish. the last thing he needed was to lose her for good because his feelings were one sided.

he maintained eye contact for a few minutes, staring at her as if she was the only woman in the room. then he was interrupted by his friend, "im sorry.. " he mused, "i need to go.. ill catch up with you later though." he excused himself making his way across the room and offering his drink of to her when he seen her. "you look- wow. really beautiful, putting us all to shame." he teased with a smile.
