Still catching up on Nein Again with episode 20, and at around 2h8m they're making jokes about calling Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins for rules clarifications. Which is EXTRA funny now.

Oh, oh 🥺💔 Caleb already dreaming of creating the mansion/tower for his friends, all the way back in episode 20 🥺 that's our transmutation wizard...
Fjord rolling a Nat 20 dex check on getting a bug out of Jester's eye is so fucking funny lmao
Jester: Is it considered faith if you just really like somebody?
Fjord: No
Molly: No
Artagan: Eh, good enough for me
magical shelter
after spending a cold night in the rain:
caleb: i'm working on making a magical shelter for us. it's not ready yet, but i'm getting closer.
the rest of the mighty nein: WHAT DO YOU NEED?? PAPER?? INCENSE??
caleb: time. 🫤😔
the mighty nein: ☹️☹️☹️ ok. we'll help any other way tho! if only we knew how to manipulate time! that would solve all our problems! 🤪
Nein Again Episode 20
Almost caught up! A lot of fun conversations this episode
(36) I really do appreciate that most people are just people, not especially evil or good or anything. Like the nein were ready to lie and hide, but the Brand are just people, so why wouldn't they help some citizens in need
(50) Yasha dream! tbh I forgot about this.
(1:03) I do love Nott and Yasha's friendship. It makes Nott's more goblin-y traits feel less monstrous when Yasha is also Like That
(1:06) okay but why is Fjord collecting stuff from the lightening tree. Is it Travis wanting to notice the Stormlord symbol? Fjord mentioned putting shit in his component pouch and he doesn't even have one. I appreciate that Matt didn't let them notice the symbol since it's fairly meta-driven that they even went up to the tree
(1:08) Jester: "Is it considered faith if you just really like somebody?" "No" Another hint that the Traveler isn't actually a god
(1:20) Liam: "True love!" when Fjord rolls a nat 20 to get the tree booger out of Jester's eye. He doesn't know it yet, but he's right
(2:14) I love the antagonism between Fjord and Nott. (But also very interesting that Fjord gets shit for not making it into melee, even though he has distant range, while no one gives Molly shit for the same thing when his ranged attacks are basically trash. If I was being an ass I would say it's because no expects anything out of Molly in combat)
(2:20) god bless Matt's sad bird noises
(2:34) It's really fucking funny that the Nein basically just adopted a child. They keep calling themselves assholes but also they're so nice that saved a random child from a swamp and just..kept her
(2:51) "This means nothing and I want to win" the motto of the M9 lol
(3:06) I do love Caleb's ease at slipping into manipulation. Like it comes from a bad place in his past, but you gotta love competence. He is so ready to manipulate everyone at all times
(3:23) Huh it seems like Caleb cut Nott off from saying something interesting. Like Nott was saying that she was jealous of Caleb's problems cause theyre in the past, but he cut her off before she said anything about how her problems are ongoing. She may even have revealed more if given the chance to finish her statement. On the other hand, it says a lot about Caleb that he shut down the conversation when Nott started to suggest that Caleb could be redeemed
(3:27) I love Yasha like this, holding her ground without remorse. Badass and mean and making herself a bulwark to protect the party and their interests
What's hilarious about the bit about forcing Nott to throw up to sober her up is that Taliesin already chose the Blood Curse of Purgation for Molly's level 5 curse, so he could have just tried the curse on that.
(He does this to Beau later in Hupperdook.)
literally 10 minutes into c2e20 when this happened
