“You know, I might honestly feel worse about not having a date tonight if I wasn’t also spending the rest of my time with grown men that whine more than children.” Nari slumped on the couch, wearing her best Valentine’s Day outfit. Sweatpants, and a t-shirt she had likely stolen from some unsuspecting victim at the Academy. In most instances, this was her ideal dress code. Today it just felt slightly sadder than usual. “All they do all day long is complain about their wives. Or their backs. Or some idiot teenager. I swear—none of them actually became an Auror to do anything useful.”
In Nari’s actual humble opinion, the profession had been corrupted for years now, and while she couldn’t fix everything overnight, she was still willing to try.
