Covers were each their own people. They had their own interests, dislikes, and relationships. Unlike actors, who could put down or pick up characters on command, covers, once set aside, were better left dead. It didn’t do to allow a past cover to bleed into a present one – that was a good way to end up dead – which was why Camila was surprised that her legs had brought her here to this particular location. It had been as if she’d been operating on autopilot ever since leaving the shop just an hour ago. It had been a long day, not unlike any of the other long days she’d had recently. She’d fended off unwanted advances from some of the guys who worked there and rolled her eyes at the customers who’d taken one glance at her and made some sort of snarky remark about her ability as a mechanic based on the fact that she was a woman. Men never learned. She’d come to understand that early on, and being in a male dominated field, she almost expected to have her expertise undermined by those around her. It didn’t stop her from saying something crude, throwing up the finger, and going on to prove that she was definitely as good as – if not better – than the guys who were worked at the shop. One of these days one of those guys would say something that annoyed her just a little too much and she’d end up with a fist in someone’s face, but thankfully, tonight was not that night. Fingers drumming on the countertop, Camila muttered half under her breath, “men are really something else. I’d give my last dollar to have them all neutered.”
A bottle of champagne in her hand Camila danced around the spacious living room, drinking the sweet alcohol straight from the bottle. Music boomed in the background, loud, thunderous, roaring. She didn’t care if it was the kind of music which her neighbors would hate, she didn’t care if they came up and complained, she wouldn’t hear them.
Camila wanted to burn as bright as the stars, she wanted to be a wildfire, she wanted to be unstoppable. Instead, she was trapped and there was no escape. Her golden curls cascaded down her back, a giggle escaping her red lips as she collapsed onto the sofa. This was her way of being free, drinking and dancing. She had come home early from hanging out with friends and didn’t want her fun to end yet - if there was one thing Camila was good at was creating fun even if it was just for herself. Attempting to take another swig of her drink another giggle left her Camila as it spilled onto the fabric instead. “Oppsie.” There was a sudden shift in mood when her eyes fell onto her husband. Husband. What a strange word. “Don’t look at me with your judgey eyes. You can’t judge me!” Pushing herself off the couch she walked towards him. “I didn’t pick to be your wife. I didn’t have a fucking choice. I was just given to you as if I was some sort of meat. So you can’t judge me. You can’t look at me like that. I didn’t pick this life. I didn’t pick you!”

Somehow Selena had ended up passing out balloons for some reason and when she spotted Camila, she smiled and calmly walked over to her. “Do you want a balloon...? I figured we could have a little fun and either hit people with them or just suck the helium up.”

Walking up to the girl, she let out a small sigh. “I don’t hate you.. Or have a problem with you... I’m not that type of person. What you heard was me being insecure. Noah is just friends with a lot of girls and it got the best of me. But I think it is valid for me to talk about that with my boyfriend. I’m sorry if something I said offended you but next time come talk to me okay? I’m not evil.. I’m not going to make a fight out of things. I was having a moment and I’m human.. Everyone has those moments... So please... Can whatever this is stop? I’m tired of tip toeing around you. And I was actually kind of really excited to meet you but then it felt like you didn’t like me. I don’t have to explain everything to you but... I know Noah would never cheat but I’ve been cheated on before. I get insecure a lot because of it. Again I’m sorry.. But I don’t like having any bad vibes here. I try to stay away from drama..”

“We are out here and back home at least for a while.. We are going to go do something right? I’d be disappointed in you Cams if you didn’t have ideas for me.”
I feel like we're going to have such a great summer when it comes to movies. All these big blockbusters will come out and I can't wait to see most of them. One being Masters of the Universe. I was a big fan of the animated series back when I was a kid so I can't wait to see what you've all created with the live action version. How was it for you though? To step into such an iconic role? @camitocarraro
Elodie had been at the shop since some ungodly hour in the morning working on orders and rearranging things. She’d woken up in the middle of the night and found it impossible to fall back asleep, so rather than lie in bed watching the minutes tick by, she went to her happy place, The Stalk Market. Music playing loudly from the speakers, she was going through her next inventory order when Camila arrived. “Good morning,” she greeted her, trying to put on her usual happy-go-lucky demeanour, despite feeling less than joyful. It wasn’t often that Elodie felt anything other than excited about life, but that morning she could feel a cloud over her head, the onset of something dark that she wasn’t prepared for. “How’s it going?”
