Skylar stood at the bar, turning her head to look over at the bartender as she waited for her shot of tequila. Of course, the blonde wasn’t exactly sure how or where she was going to end the night but if there was one thing she knew was that she wasn’t going to do it sober. She exhaled as she turned her head to see someone come stand next to her as her green hues drifted towards the two shots of tequila that were placed in front of her. “Here,” she muttered as she put her index finger against the side of the glass, pushing it towards him. “I don’t know why you are at the bar but now you’re having a drink with me...” She raised her small shot glass. “To new drinking pals?”

Jon hadn’t seen his best friend for a while, and he felt that Damian had distanced himself a little bit and it began to worry him. The time Jon promised Damian that he’d never let him go down a dark path again replaying over and over in his need, doing nothing else that instigating that sense of urgency in the boy. Unknown to most were the feelings he kept for the son of Bruce Wayne, his earliest friend, and the boy who through all their bickering, their adventure, their sleepovers, had somehow wormed his way into Jon’s heart and stayed. So as he hovered over the city looking for any sign of that particular brooding boy, that thanks to finding out through the league grapevine, had done the very thing Jon promised he would stop.
It wasn’t hard to find Damian out on a rooftop, he was a creature of habit, and it was hard to mistake a brooding teen out on a roof. As he gingerly landed, he came up behind the other man, pulling him into a hug. “You big idiot,” he groaned as he wrapped his arms around the other man. “Hey there Dami, so um...why is it that you haven’t really been answering my texts, is there anything you’d like to tell me?”

Ramina had sat for what seemed like hours in that run down bathroom in the grocery store, staring at the small pile of positive tests she’d racked up. A baby? How could this have happened? She was certain she’d been careful. Fuck. Anxiety had set in quickly, every thought under the sun running through her mind. Just like her mother, wasn’t she? Getting knocked up with the baby of a man who she was explicitly not in a romantic relationship with. At least Damian was still here, though. He wasn’t long gone like her father, a man who wouldn’t even know he’d fathered a child. But would he continue to be here? Once she told him would he be mad? Would he think she was trying to trap him or something of that sort?
But despite all the negative thoughts in her mind, there was the smallest kernel of excitement in her core. A baby. Someone that would be family. All she’d ever had was her mother, and that had been...not the most conventional of relationships. But now— there was someone that was her’s. And perhaps someone she belonged to as well. She wanted it. The realization had startled her, and also scared her a little, and she also knew that it meant she had to tell Damian what had occurred. So she’d sent him as casual a text as she could, asking if she could come over ASAP. Her nerves wouldn’t let her hold in the news any longer.
As she knocked on the door, her voice began calm, calling his name and asking if he was home. But there was the smallest bit of urgency in it, her worry mounting the longer she went without telling him about the baby, about the life growing inside her. “Damian, are you there?” There was the errant thought that she’d break down the door if she had to, so worked up was she.

Ramina had spent a decent amount of the time trying not to look Damian’s way. After all, she wanted to be conscious of the fact that they were in public, and she was one of Jer’s Old Ladies. Not to mention...if anyone was still interested in hurting her, the last thing she wanted was Damian to get caught up in everything. The thought of being responsible for harm coming his way was...repulsive. In fact, the thought of anything even remotely bad touching him was just as equally polarizing. But she’d finally given in, though she was doing her best to choose a place to approach him that was further away from the main festivities, and not quite as well lit.
Of course...she wanted to add her own little bit of Halloween fun to it. Ramina had text him to meet her here about five minutes ago, purposefully coming up behind him a few minutes later so that he’s maybe be a little more on edge. She was doing her best to sneak up on him which was easier said then done when one was wearing a skin-tight sequined, red dress. But then...as she drew closer, treading as lightly as she could, she leaped out from behind him, clutching at his shoulder and mustering up her most frightening “Boo!” to see if he would jump.

Truly, she’d felt bad the night had ended the way it did at the auction with Damian. After all, he’d probably been looking forward to getting some action that evening, but instead he’d seen her dragged off in handcuffs. Unfortunately, it wasn’t in a kinky way, either. So once she’d gotten out, and done a few things to become human once more after being held for 48 hours she’d text him up, and offered to make up for the ruined attempt.
In addition, she’d wanted to thank him for any efforts he might have made to get her out. As she’d been taken away, Ramina had heard him say something along the lines of trying to help her out. That was how she first started her greeting to him, a little embarrassed that he’d had to see her get arrested in the first place. “Hey, sorry about standing you up for a police precinct the other night,” she said with a smile. “But I didn’t leave them without bringing an ‘I’m sorry’ gift.” With a bit of a flourish, she fished some handcuffs from her purse, presenting them to him with a wide grin.

Ramina was pleased with what she’d accomplished for the evening. She’d had quite a lot of fun bidding on Jer with Layla, and though she hadn’t intended to spend elsewhere— the now former Siren had decided to shell out $2000 of her own money for Jake, and then borrowed a thousand from Jer to finish the job. Ramina simply refused to let him be won by the girl that had just finished breaking his heart not too long ago. And of course there had been the couple of bids for Eli, placed solely to see just how desperate Ollie was to win his ex-boyfriend in this auction after breaking up with her, at most, a week before with claims of not being able to be in a relationship at the moment. She found that development quite...interesting.
But thankfully that had been managed to be wiped from her mind as she spotted a familiar and handsome face at a nearby table. After grabbing a drink to sip on, she sauntered his way, a little smirk already on her lips in preparation. Talking to Damian was almost always guaranteed to be fun. She tried to sneak up on him a little before saying over his shoulder. “Going home alone after all your fervent bidding?”
