He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Let's say I am." Even though he wanted to disagree with her, he couldn't. Maybe she did misbehave, in spite of her own words, but Four was also paranoid so could he really make an argument? His eyes closed briefly as she patted his cheek, then he looked back at her again. "When did paranoia equal intelligence?"

“Probably about the same. Smart enough to believe I’m always up to something.” Grinning, she gave a shrug, “I’m sure deep down you know I’m the best thing in Dauntless other than yourself and the cake.”

"Are you sick? You look uncharacteristically behaved." (from four)

“Hah. you’re cracking a joke, are you sick, Four?”

(It’s just because no one’s figured out she replaced Eric’s gel with hair bleach yet.

“I’m always well behaved, you just think I’m misbehaving because you’re paranoid. Her hand reached up and gently patted his cheek. “Probably the smartest person in the faction, y’know.”
