Trick of treating with her son was a really great experience. Glitter enjoyed Halloween and had always enjoyed taking her kids around the neighborhood. Besides that, it was a fun excuse to dress up. The witch costume she’d worn was something she really enjoyed. She thought she looked good for the adventure through the village.
While she wasn’t sure where Emmy had gone off to, but she allowed Sterling to lead their slow progression down the street. When they approached Lucus’ house, Sterling got hesitant and looked up at his mom. “But he doesn’t like when I go in his yard,” Sterling protested.
Sighing, Glitter shook her head. “It’s alright, kiddo. Look, the light is on. Remember what I said?”
Sterling nodded and took a few steps down the path towards the front door, careful not to trip on the tail of his dinosaur costume. Glitter was right behind her son, a protective shadow that would undoubtedly ruin Lucus’ night if he wasn’t nice to her son.
Glitter let Sterling knock on the door and she stood there, curious to see how Lucus would react once the door opened. When it finally did, she offered him an almost challenging smile while Sterling bounced on the balls of his feet.
“Trick or treat!” the boy said happily, holding out his pumpkin bucket hopefully.
