My stomachs been off for a few days so I’m just trying to make it through the night without it ruining everything.” Clara laughed lightly, appreciating the offer nonetheless. “Don’t let it stop you though. As always, I’ll just live vicariously through your actions.”

Henry hadn’t really missed much about Baberton when he was in London, but Manon was something that he had missed.  He often thought back to that first night they had hung out, how she had trusted him enough to open up about her past. How he had been able to inspire her to get a job. He smiled as he remembered back to the times they had hung out. Seeing her text that she was almost there, he moved towards the bartender, ordering their drinks.

They were just placed in front of him when he saw her enter the bar, standing up, he greeted her. “Hey beautiful.” He smiled, kissing her cheek before motioning for her to sit down at the bar. “Got your drink all ready for you.”

“Looks like we’re paired together for this shift.” Marcus commented as he came up beside Manon. “Hopefully it resembles something akin to a regular workday because recently everything has been a real fucking mess and it would be nice to have normal for a change.”

“I got us a little something as a gift to us both. I think it is well needed.” Clara spoke up as she held a piece of paper up in front of her friend, showing her that she’d paid for a spa day for the pair of them. “Now we just have to coordinate our schedules.”

“I feel like this was much easier when we were kids...” Clara murmured as she split yet another of the daisies. “Or maybe I had more patience back then but I don’t know... I’m not certain I ever had any patience at all if I’m being honest.”
