aurora marveled at the decoration and smiled happily as she walked around. She didn’t get any grant events like this back home, living in the forest for all that time. and when she was supposed to enter royal life something happened and she ended up here. but she dreamed, she dreamed of dances like this with the man in the forest. he would come in and sweep her around. she sighed sadly but continued to walk around. the blonde found a spot at a table and sat down. she was still daydreaming when someone sat across from her but she wasn’t really paying attention.

“Fifteen bucks for a fucking drink?!” Max whined as she was reading through the list of drinks in the bar. It wasn’t his regular, normally liking to be as far away from home as she could to avoid judgment from people she could run into during the day, but here she was, too lazy to go any further. “This is a fucking excess, isn’t it? Isn’t it?” She said, turning to her right as if to get the person next to her to back her up.

The stumbling faerie had told herself that she was very entitled to an early start. Her phone had long since turned into a flashy blur of light, currently snug in the back pocket of her jeans. A once unopened bottle of whiskey now sat on her kitchen table, lonely and only filled halfway.

She initially thought that the approaching figure was a tree. The stretch of a wry smile flashed in the wolf’s direction when she realized that he was not, in fact, a plant.

Christina always wondered from how far away a wolf’s ears could prick up at the sound of dripping blood, how large the gap of distance could grow before a vampire could smell it. Long, dark hair was still littered with shards of glass as split knuckles stained the floor with scarlet. The faerie shoved the back door of the cafe open with her back. What took her by surprise were the two faces peering down at her upon her disheveled entrance. 

“...Evening.”

Taking a turn down the street, Kenna’s feet walked faster and faster. This is what she hated the most in these hours; having the same guy following him home from the moment she’d step her foot out on the sidewalk. She should have been used to it by now, but something didn’t stick well with this whole situation and a gut feeling would often tell her to just be faster. Heading down the small dark alley, just behind her house, the blonde stopped underneath her balcony to take a look over her shoulder.
