STARTER FOR @cannibr4t
Sebastian hadn’t meant to stop. The club wasn’t his scene — too loud, too crowded, too much pretending. But something about the music caught his ear when he passed the velvet ropes outside. Something different. He’d had company since he decided to step away from his relationship — a few women, all beautiful, all temporary. None of them saw him, not really. They saw the car, the watch, the name. And he let them, because it was easier that way.
Then he saw her. The stage glowed soft pink and amber, smoke curling around her like a secret. When the music ended she disappeared behind the curtain. He should’ve left then. He didn’t. Instead, he waited. Ordered a drink he didn’t taste. Watched the crowd shift and thin, all the faces that came for the fantasy and left when it ended. He stayed.
Then she appeared again — off the stage now. He crossed the room slowly, cutting through the dim chatter and bass hum until he was close enough to speak. The bartender greeted him, but his eyes stayed on her. Seb gestured to the bartender. “Let me get you a drink.” he offered. “Seems only fair, considering you’ve already stolen my attention for the night.”
