A Korean MMORPG that kind of like WoW and Final Fantasy had a bastard together.
Do you think Bond ever rocks out to Kesha's "Die Young" because it speaks so well to his heart? (PS, love your blog a thousand times over.)
First of all, that hurts my heart.
Second of all, who knows? If we did, and told you, we'd probably have to kill you. -ducks for clicheness-
caanor said: I’m always interested to hear people critique Disney animated films! It’s nice to hear something besides the ooh and ahh of nostalgia (though I grew up with them, too). I was wondering if you had any gifs of the hokey animation you mentioned?
Sadly, no, I do not have any gifs and cannot make any either since that this laptop lacks the ability to function on a profound manner. I guess you'll just have to trust me but there is a lot of questionable animation in Beauty and the Beast, namely a lot of it has to do with Belle in particular and in the first half of the film. I think it's largely because in this particular film, her character design really sticks out although I can't necessarily place what it is but just... Belle looks like she was an after thought at times. Like the animators planned out this nice little film, they drew up all these side characters and backgrounds but then they were half way through and realized that they forgot about their main lady.
Also to be honest, I've never really a lot of the older Disney princess movies specifically. Yes, they were very well made films in their day but I don't think they hold up particularly well since none of them have ever seemed to be great leaps in animation to me. They're just Disney doing something Disney already knows how to do, which isn't really a bad thing but it's not particularly awe inspiring either.
For me though, I never really grew up with Disney per say? I mean, yes, I had seen a few of the films (Namely Aristocats, Lion King, and Brother Bear) as a child but I never really sat and watched many of them until I was a little older, like probably around eleven. As a result, I'm not particularly nostalgic about many of them which leave me willing to really tear them apart if I feel it fitting.
I think the thing with Disney though is that for every great film, there are about six okay ones.
You're a lovely person who has brought a lot of joy to people's worlds by being who you are. I'm glad I decided to follow your Tumblr.
