Well, yes, as is traditional. You say that as though it isn’t tradition for all Americans. Which it is.

Storm, Ms. Marvel, and Spiderwoman??
Storm: What is your favourite type of weather?
In the right context - a chilly Saturday when I don’t have any other plans and don’t have to go out, maybe with a friend over - I’m wild for rain. Thunderstorms, especially. We get so few of them in NYC compared to where I grew up - I would be able to sit on our porch and watch the downpour and listen to the rumbling, and it was magnificent.
Please note that in the wrong context - sparse drizzly rain on a work day right after the start of Daylight Savings Time so that I’m sleep deprived and headachey enough without the low pressure system, NOT THAT I AM DESCRIBING THIS CURRENT MOMENT IN TIME AT ALL MIND YOU - the rain kind of sucks.
Spider-woman: What is your favourite smell?
Really hard to answer when I have this bad a headache (I had to eat toast and plain eggs for dinner I’m so nauseated right now, couldn’t even stomach putting hot sauce on top), but off hand - probably garlic? Whenever I chop it up I always need to hold a bit right under my nose and take a breath.
(That said, my sense of smell isn’t the best. In college biology, we had to do this experiment to see how many times we could sniff a vial of some sort of perfume before becoming smell blind to it. Most of the students managed, like, three or four or five; I got exactly one good sniff in before my nose called it quits. Even better, my lab partner was a super smeller and ended up just giving up after twenty or so, so yeah, our combined data was pretty useless.)
Ms. Marvel:Who is your idol?
Oh god, um. This is actually a hard one, mostly because I get so uncomfortable when I find myself idolizing someone - I honestly tend to start resenting them and avoiding them. It’s an unpleasant feeling. Mind if I deflect this for now?
So, uh, you think you might knit the Pleasure Elf one day?
It’s a bit out of my league, to be honest. I mean, I dabble in ‘creepy’ from time to time, but that thing is terrifying.

Knit Rage Cat, let anger animate Rage Cat with power of a Red Lantern, and set lose on fake nerd boy. Balance is restored to the universe.

Knit a full sized Rage-Cat and BEAT HIM TO DEATH WITH IT
No joke, I was trying to say something to his girlfriend at one point and it took me THREE TRIES to finish the sentence because he kept interrupting me. I’m so introverted, I don’t interact with people that much, I’m not USED to this. I ended up pursing my lips and basically saying, “Okay! You’re entitled to your opinion!” AND THEN HE SPENT ANOTHER TWO MINUTES GOING ON ABOUT HOW IT’S OKAY FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS.
RAGE CAT, AVENGE ME.
Did you base the creepy doll pattern off of Slendy? I really want to attempt knitting my own for an imposter Lalna cosplay in a month.
Parts of it, yeah. The arms and legs are done the same way, but the head, torso and clothing were improvised.
All the best with the impostor Lalna cosplay! I look forward to seeing it.

I REALLY WANT TO BUT IM SCARED OF GETTING DICK PICKS IN RETURN
'The ratio of people who have hindsight and those who have foresight is greatly stacked against the latter' (fic challenge thing)
[ Gosh! this was a hard one, I spent quite some time thinking about what to say before I finally got an idea, bare in mind I’m about 130+ episodes behind in flux buddies so I just made all this up on the spot! Enjoy :3 ]
The ratio of people who have hindsight and those who have foresight is greatly stacked against the latter. Nanosounds, or Kim, happened to be one of the lucky ones.
Of course, she wasn’t always this way. But as the days passed, the taint bloomed within her. She had been given the gift of clairvoyance. Among other things, of course.
Usually this didn’t effect her life on a day-to-day basis, she’d just get random flash forwards of things that would carry out anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours later, sort of like extremely frequent moments of “déja vu” as they’re more commonly known.
But this time, it was different.
When undertaking a STU, or planning a series or knit projects, how do you best motivate yourself to get things done? Or more relevant, how do you motivate yourself to knit through tediously monotonous parts? Because, dang, that blanket is large and obviously took you as long as you posted about it getting it done! (congrats!)
One thing that kept me going was calculating what percentage of the project I’d completed at regular intervals. It was always motivating to watch that number grow higher, even if the growth was slow at times.
I also made a habit of laying out the completed portion of the project and imagining how it would look when it was done. Envisaging the final product made the grind much easier to bear.
Two other important factors- 1) I am stubborn as heck, and 2) I hate admitting defeat. When you’ve got eight thousand miles of garter stitch to slog through, these two personality traits are a powerful combination.
