The events of late. He will not speak of it but I dare not push. I am just glad he is slowly becoming himself again. "... I can't explain why but, something kept me from following the Sultansworn in pursuit of the thieves. It was then a man in black seemed to melt from the darkness. He claimed I could not be 'suffered to continue', summoning a strange darkness all around us and beast from the aether that I could only call a hulking gargoyle. It was unlike anything I had faced yet, staff in hand, I stepped up to it. And well into the fray, the curious bard, Thancred, seemed to break through the barrier and join the fight. After felling the creature the masked man soon stepped up and, together we took him down. Thancred mentioned something about Paragons, Ascians, and an investigation that I didn't quite understand. I'm not sure why I asked, as it was just a waking dream, but I asked him if they were common in Sharlayan. He seemed just as taken aback that I knew his home that I did in knowing it. But then he mentioned I was one of the chosen. I was just about to demand what he ment, demand answers, demand he... He tell me if he knew our brother but the Sultansworn appeared and he went to meet them.
