“Noctis-sama!” Talcott exclaimed as he looked up at the man “I’ve been helping Uncle Dustin with the kitchen lately! And Auntie Monica has been teaching me how to protect myself!”

“Nice!” The prince crouched down to his level. “I’m sure you’ll reach Cor’s level in no time. How’s the Cactuar collection coming along? Still need me to find you some more statues?”

“And I’m Nyx.”

He pulled a small square of linen out of his pocket and handed it to Talcott; it would probably do a better job drying his eyes than his shirt sleeve would.  It was cleaner, at any rate.  Nyx’s heart went out to the kid - these times were rough for everyone, but none more so than the children.  

“You hurt anywhere?  Anything worse than scratches or bruises?” He asked, though not unkindly.
