Hailey was a very particular person, especially in regards to what she was putting in her body. It wasn’t as if she had a specific diet regimen to follow, the girl just knew what she liked and refused to digest anything that didn’t meet her expectations. A few years prior, Hailey had the privilege of sipping on the most exceptional cup of coffee, but only once. Afterwards, the shop had closed and the girl was unable to drink anything quite like it ever again.
Which was exactly why she’d put off coming to The Roost for so long. To her understanding, the coffee shop was a favorite amongst locals. However, she’d seen many similar establishments; small, cozy atmospheres, overpopulated with hipsters and wannabe-foodies. In other words, they were usually overrated and their only selling point was the affordable cost.
But you’ll never know if you don’t try.
And so, here she was, with a fresh cup of The Roost’s house special. The aroma, alone, had caught the girl off guard. Its scent seemed to be of a much higher grade than she’d anticipated. “On this little island? How surprising.” Hailey chuckled to herself before taking a sip, eyes widening in shock. This coffee was that coffee— the taste that she had been in search of for so long! In excitement, she turned to the first person in close proximity to herself ( @cadvnce ).
“You, there! Have you tried this? Like, really tried this? It’s actually superb— dare I say, magnificent!”
