did I do a spell today? no.
did I light a candle and talk to my soup like it was alive? yes.

A New Place Called Home
(Part I)
Rin got a special kind of joy from someone enjoying food she made, and Adi was the queen of enthusiasm. Really, the energy she brought to the cafe was a pick-me-up that encouraged Rin. She wondered if she would have had as much fun setting up the shop if she had decided to open up on her own.
As hoped and expected, Adi’s response to the Marble Bites was overwhelmingly positive. “I’ve jus’ been feelin’ so creative in this place. It awready feels like a second home, ya know?”
Rin gave a little wave for her croaky muse, assuming Marble was thanking her in his own little way. “Yer welcome, Marbs!”
The arm around her was surprising, but Rin was starting to accept that touching was just part of the package with Adi. She giggled, clapping flour off her palms. “I’m ready, I think. It jus’ feels like such a long time comin’ and now it’s awmost here. We’re really doin’ this, Adi.” She felt the butterflies already. “Ye finished movin’ in upstairs? I can take a break t’ help if ya need me.”
