It was 9:55 AM and she was supposed to meet Feferi at 10. Sure, Jade lived right next door to the female troll so getting there on time wasn’t the issue-- It was finding her god forsaken shoe. Jade huffed in frustration as she upturned the couch, her bed and even the potted plants that littered her and John’s apartment. She limped around in a single tennis shoe, tucking her hair behind her ear. How hard was it to find where a damned shoe was? Jade bit her lip, her eyes -thankfully- wandering to a familiar patter buried underneath the pile she made while looking for it.
Laughing at herself, she checked the time. 10:01. Hurriedly slipping it on, Jade grabbed her purse and keys and ran out the door, only to walk less than 10 feet to the next apartment. With a smile and a knock to the wood, she waited with a rock of her feet. She was sure that Feferi was almost begging to leave the dump Karkat and Gamzee called home. She was only in there once and she was sure the entire place was a bio-hazard.
