New OC Obsession Alert!

Incoming Caiphus Arturus dump!

The son of Rollgryn and Junia ( @silvered-ashes ), Caiphus is ashamed of his half-ogryn lineage and hides it as much as possible. But being a 6'8" brick shit house means you look like the perfect commissar to run with the abhumans of the Militarum Auxilia, an assignment he takes as a personal offense. It took about two seconds to start shipping him with my rogue trader heir of a psyker, Diana (Royce and Aliana's daughter).

Anyway a couple of comments from fellow Darktide players tonight included saying he looked like trailer trash (ty!) and that he resembled a missing member of the Village People (ty!)

Once again I love redrawing Hark a Vagrant comics with OCs.

Some of my friends I play Darktide with have been so kind as to sort of RP with their vets respecting Caiphus's status as a commissar and it tickles me. So here he is preparing some of them for the mission ahead.

I feel like this took me ages. I reworked Caiphus a few times and I think I've finally gotten somewhere with him. Then I was going to do a back reference and instead started theorizing on a corrupted version of Diana to go with him and well oops the back ref never happened.

While Diana's corruption would not be canon, I do like that the two work together and also cause a lot of friction with each other. Caiphus is full of pride and ambition, stubborn, and controlling. He keeps elements of his commissar uniform and gets some bovine inspired mutations. Diana would be devotion twisted into jealousy and possession (that both exhibit). She gets some bridal with a smidge of bondage influences. Plus some tentacles just cuz I can.

Some day when I have the time and gumption I'd love to maybe sketch up some ogryn and ratlings from Caiphus's auxilia that corrupt with him, too.
