No need for apologies, I absolutely love getting the chance to yap about my post-canon caitvi family stuff, I appreciate you sending me this lovely ask <3 I'm glad you enjoy the direction I took with Cass. She loses her leg in a pretty traumatizing way (not that there's any way it COULDN'T be traumatizing) but illustrating resilience and support from her family (that her own parents really lacked) was something I wanted to dive into. I also love seeing disability rep and in wanting to create my own series of SOMETHING someday, getting to practice different types of representation through OCs in my favorite fandoms is a treat and I'm grateful for everyone's feedback and support! Maya!! I'd love to at least include her in more fankid content but I know people also expect Caitvi so I worry content I include her in would be snubbed a little, understandably as OCs can be a tough solo sell ;;; Still I do have a bit of backstory for her!! She was born in Zaun, her parents both fought alongside Piltover in the war w/ Noxus. She has a younger brother, Jax, who is about 2 years behind her. Growing up in Zaun amidst the reconstruction and unification of the cities, she was really drawn to invention and construction! By the time she's 16 she has her own workshop where she builds/repairs machinery. She also bartends at the rebuilt Last Drop because she enjoys the community and the vibe (bartending is fun as hell when the customers aren't awful). She meets the caitvi kids around 13/14. They cross paths a few times be it at the fighting gym Vi runs or wreaking havoc on hoverboards that Ekko teaches kids how to use. Slow to become friends, Maya and Corinne eventually grow closer (Cori has a hella crush). Cass doesn't appreciate Maya stealing her sister's attention, but ends up warming up to her eventually. Maya meets her vibe and doesn't take her shit, Cass has gotta respect that. So anyway, by the time that Maya and Cori are actually OFFICIAL, a few YEARS into their friendship (dumb slow burn), it's no surprise to anyone and there's really no 'meet the parents' because they all know each other lmao. Cait and Vi both really like her because she keeps the girls in line, she trains at Vi's gym, she's got her own business, funny, smart etc. The only beef Caitlyn has is how Maya ending up with Cori means she has to face the fact that her kids are growing up ;-; UUHH what else....In terms of Cass, Maya helped her build the machine that was her submission to the Academy. The one that ended up exploding. Maya struggles not to take some part of responsibility for it for quite some time. Eventually, it's something that brings her and Cass closer, but it was sticky at first. Regardless, Maya actually ends up saving Cass' life in the direct aftermath of the explosion by giving her some first aid that gave her just enough time to get help.

That's it!! My lore is still evolving in my own brain daily. Sometimes I retcon/sometimes I add ;-; but that's as it stands currently!! Thank you for this ask, I hope you have a lovely day!

Caitlyn had always been a rebel, despite her family’s placement in society and high reputation.

Back in her academy days, Caitlyn did everything in her power to break away from the Kiramman name; she wanted to make a name for herself, not hide in the comfort of her family’s, acting like she had done something to be proud of when in fact she would have been basking in the success of her ancestors. As such, the activities she involved herself in to divorce herself from being a Kiramman were extensive: sneaking out to meet her friends or dates, sneaking in friends or dates her parents didn’t approve of, going out to parties in lower districts, wearing what she wanted to wear instead of what her mother laid out for her, speaking out during formal events, lying about who she was to keep the stares away, etc.

But despite everything she had ever done, Caitlyn had never once hidden in a filthy alleyway that reeked of urine and heavens knew what else in the middle of the Undercity, and she had certainly never done so while hiding from people who wanted her head on a platter. No, Caitlyn was almost positive that this topped even her most scandalous of acts, like when she and her friends were caught skinny dipping during finals week of their last year of schooling.
