Baking a cake with @nooneyouknow43 and of course we both had to spread our agendas

This makes me happy. Be nice to your cakes, people, and they might sing you a song
However, for those who like facts rather than anthropomorphic cakes: a cake is called sad because it "falls” during baking and is a flat cake
I made a couple of cakes for a client this week. They were the first ones in more than six months. I was given full creative freedom which I absolutely loved!
The first one was chocolate raspberry. It was a triple layer 6 inch chocolate cake and I brushed raspberry preserves into the cake layers. It’s iced with raspberry buttercream and then topped with fresh raspberries.

Thunderbolts bake a cake! Tumblr edition: Salt!
First in a series of polls where we join the Thunderbolts in making a basic chocolate cake. based on the votes, I will figure out what the cake would look like! If you have headcanons about what happens during this stage of the baking, put them in the comments or reblogs.
Time for Salt! How much salt do they add?
They add the amount in the recipe
Someone insists that a chocolate cake isn't supposed to be salty and add NO Salt
They added too much sugar earlier so they double the salt to compensate
Someone accidentally adds SUGAR not Salt.

are chamomile and chocolate flavors that go together? I have several oranges and I want to make an orange cake. and im thinking chamomile and chocolate for the secondary flavors. Maybe a lil chocolate mousse in the center of the cake? and vanilla chamomile buttercream? maybe also soak the cake in some chamomile syrup? I think it could be quite good.
