not saying you are wrong or starting an argument but why is Emma Watson a fake feminist?

ref. to her #HeForShe campaign speech, whilst these are issues that are important it was still all v entry level. it's what we've all heard before and even then it was simplified to the point of complete n utter uselessness. idg why we still have to run the "it's not hating men it's gender equality, I still love men they are beautiful, I still love men, I'm not a manhater" argument in order to legitimise issues that women face. it's not a campaign for women it's a campaign to help men who have v misogynistic tendencies fell good about themselves for 2 seconds.

also, since her speech I've not seen one public / semi public / twitter based etc.. acts to actually help women. she's given 2 speeches. she's not very WoC or trans inclusive. whenever issues of WoC are involved it's portrayed in a funny light, FGM is the spotlight of one of her campaigns and with that comes a LOT and I'm talking a hell of a lot of racism. and she hasn't done anything to combat that. I've seen no efforts to support trans women and WoC who are seeing a rise in violent attacks (just this week a maori woman was attacked at a pride march), no tweets in support of hijabi women.

it's all v one-sided. I would have been all for her activism when I was 16 but I've grown up. if your feminism isn't intersectional then it doesn't exist in my eyes
