New members - New Start!
On Wednesday the 5th of September the Arthaus group met to discuss the possibilities and opportunities for the year. We began the process of sharing ideas and perspectives on the gallery and the current exhibition with some quick pencil sketches. We responded to Alexander Calder’s exhibition ‘From the Stony River to the Sky’ using the ‘exquisite corpse’ technique to create a shared response. At various points during the journey we stopped and drew quickly to capture a perspective that intrigued us, then we folded and swapped our paper strips. Along our journey the director of education Debbie Hillyerd introduced us to the history of the gallery and the friendly front desk team. The introduction to the gallery was a motivational and enticing start to Arthaus, we are looking forward to our next collaboration.
