103. Are you a slut for stationary? If it blue, black or minimalist absolutely yes! 

93.Whats your fave way to study?  I like studying at uni itself, on the comfy couches, or at my desk by completing tasks- oh and quizlet. 

92. Whats your fave topic? I love topics with theories, people and one or two events. Like marketing, professional communication, etc. 

91. Do you enjoy studying? Yes and no- YEs I enjoy the control and the accomplishment, no because I’m often not in the mood for it. 

90.Do you skip parties to study?  I skip parties anyway tbh but probably yes (unless it was a close friend). 

48. Do you research online or in books?Online only---> espeically google scholar (my saviour) 

7. What do you think of the studyblr community? I LOVE it because it aligns directly with my values (working hard to give yourself a good life) and its a great community that supports and empowers members. 

38. Do you prefer to study alone or with friends? Alone only- I couldn’t concentrate otherwise!

Hi! Uhm what do you think of online classes? I want to take one but i'm scared bec i also have classes in school what if they want me to submit a paper online but i'm still in class? Like i don't need to bring my laptop with me since i'm just usually half day.

Hey! 

Online classes are a great way to learn at your own place (and not get out of bed)! Personally, I usually take on campus classes- but this semester I am doing one unit at home! 

If you are productive, and assign yourself a time each week to do the work, you’ll be fine, but you have to be careful not to get behind (trust me its very stressful!) In terms of due dates, usually they have periods of time to submit work! They aren’t going to expect that you sit at your laptop 24/7- and no two people doing the online class will even do their work at the same time! So I would say that you’ll probably be able to manage your in person classes, and your online class around that. 

If you don’t bring your laptop to school then assign yourself to watch the lecture, take notes, and do assignments- and an online class allows you to move this around! 

I would recommend (from experience):

- keeping up to date and checking up on your class online every two days or so (in terms of emails)

- emailing your school directly with questions as soon as you have them 

- watching your lecture/ taking notes (however it works) as soon as you can each week! Same goes for assignments. 

But overall, while this is general advice you should send questions to your university before you sign up to the class! 

Its great to get education in a range of ways- so I would 100% recommend it!

hey, i'm starting college this september and i was wondering if i could get your opinion on something? for my note taking, when i go to classes and such, i'll be bringing my backpack with my laptop, a notebook (i have small ones for each class), and my pencil case. would it make sense to write notes in class then go back to my dorm, rewrite the notes, and put them in a binder? i retain info when i rewrite so i think it might help but im just curious as to whether it's a good idea or not.. thanks

Hey! I started at the start of the year and I’ve also experimented with this---> and its a GREAT idea!

Fun fact! The majority of students in tertiary education actually don’t complete their notes in lectures! Lecturers move fast, you miss things, don’t understand something enough to write it down or even might get distracted (the average attention span is around 7 minutes so don’t feel too bad we all do it!) 

It sounds like your super prepared- and really thats all you need to be. 

I would say that if you learn best by rewriting, then do that! It’s actually really really common for people to take some notes during the lectures, and then go back using text books, lecture recordings or even friends notes and do their notes properly! 

Proper notes are really helpful and they take off a lot of pressure around assignments and exams- and you’ll absolutely love yourself for taking them. Even more so if you keep them all in your binder! 

So my answer is yes, great idea!

Honestly the habit of SJW’s to sent threats, block, ignore and dehumanise people who disagree with them just makes the arguments they make more discredited. Nothing is less convincing than someone with so little faith in their own argument to the point they won’t fight for it.

Its there because I believe it. Obesity is a medical condition. Like heart disease, like depression, or like any other condition it needs to be dealt with inside a medical context. The rise of ‘obesity culture’ is in fact glorifying what at its worst, is a deadly, crippling condition, and its best a minor inconvenience. You wouldn’t send this message over ‘heart disease shaming’ because thats ridiculous, and people who buy into the mentality of it being ‘normal’ are a) deluding themselves and b) playing into a harmful mentality with real world consequences. 

Fat shaming is a bullshit theory- and it ends just there. A theory. There is no implicit bias against fat people. There is no oppression culture keeping them down. You want to talk about proven biases against unattractive, or unsightly people- sure! But the idea of treating obesity and fatness like a personal quality that can’t be changed is denying that we know any of its causes. And thats simply not true. The truth is that obesity is a medical issue. And the treatment for a medical issue is not to shift the idea of normal to include those who have it! 

So ‘whats up’ with fat shaming?? If it exists, the word your looking for is ‘bullying’, because fat people are not special, they are not a group, a minority or a club- they are people with a CURABLE medical condition! They are also not a group of people also- and by ‘shaming’ one person you aren’t shaming a whole group. 

I’m not a kid, and I’m not the one who needs to wake up. I’m also not the one with a swearing issue, or a passive aggressive cowardice towards other tumblr users. This is my blog. I will reblog opinions I share and endorse ideas I agree with.
