Barok van Zieks is an Orange-bearded Bluebottle (calliphora vomitoria)!

I specifically wanted to assign a species of blowfly for this one, as their tendency to lay eggs in carcasses makes them commonly associated with death (and also very important in forensics!). I feel like that'd be pretty fitting based on what I've read!

Calliphora vomitoria
The bluebottle fly or bottlebee (Calliphora vomitoria) is a common blow fly belonging to the family Calliphoridae. Calliphora vomitoria is the type species for the genus Calliphora.
Mouche bleue
La mouche bleue ou Calliphora vomitoria du genre Calliphora est une espèce de mouche commune dans la plupart des régions du monde. Celle ci mesure de 10 à 14 millimètres de long, la tête et le thorax sont gris terne et l'abdomen est bleu clair métallisé avec des marques noires. Son corps et ses pattes sont couverts de poils noirs serrés et ses yeux sont rouges et les ailes sont claires, avec des pattes et des antennes roses et noires. C'est une mouche qui entre facilement dans les habitations pour y pondre ses oeufs et on la voit souvent se chauffer au soleil, sur un mur, un arbre ou une vitre.
