“What? No no… nothing is wrong this time, babe.. I promise..” She smiled softly and cupped her lover’s cheeks, kissing her lips gently, to soothe her worries. “I’m okay… I just want to talk…” She said and pulled a strand of Camden’s hair behind her ear. “You know, when I was there, sitting on a pool of my own blood I realized something…” She said and bit her lower lip. “If it was the other way around, I… I wouldn’t want to live in a world where you’re not, so…. I decided to do this because I still don’t want to live in a world you’re not, and because I love you…” She pulled the small red box from her pocket, opening to reveal an apparently expensive ring, with a big, drop shaped ruby at the middle. “Will you marry me?”
The blonde wasn’t sure where her girlfriend was going with this. Sure, they’d been affectionate before but it wasn’t usually quite like this. Camden’s breath hitched when she saw the box finally. She was completely dumbfounded- her brain briefly shut off. Once she was able to blink herself back to reality, she gasped a little to see the ring for a second time. It looked expensive- something that Glenda liked but also something that would look natural on Camden’s finger. “Are you serious?” It was a rather off the cuff question but Glenda had always maintained that she was a psychopath and incapable of emotions.
