Canceled conventions

There's an odd sense of loss when a convention I had hoped to attend gets canceled or delayed. On the one hand, I find myself wondering if I dodged a bullet. On the other, cons are something I look forward to as a way of escaping my everyday life for a bit.

Two cons I had hoped to do were canceled. The first, I will not name - it was going to be a first-year con before circumstances prevented it. It is likely it will be reimagined and renamed and may finally come to fruition. It does no good to name something that won't exist.

The other was Wizard World Peoria. I really wanted to do this - a well-lnown comic con stopping in my area? Yes, please! But the news broke today that it is canceled for this year and still TBD when it will happen next year. But it is still supposed to happen.

On the plus, this will let me save more money, I suppose.
