Sutter Cain’s first ever walk with his backpack.

Sutter Cain wore a doggie backpack for the first time ever today!! And he did MARVELOUS!!

I bought this damn thing back in....2007, for another german shepherd I had at the time. The Jackalope wore it a few times himself.

Sutter Cain stood perfectly still while I stuck this on his back and fiddled with the straps. No dashing away, no trying to shake it off, no pulling or biting at it, he just stood there perfectly calmly and let me put it on him.

Then we went for a walk. He bumped into my legs a few times at first while he got used to it (and I stuck a pair of swim fins in the pockets just to give it a little weight) but once he figured it out, he had no problems at all. In fact, we had fun.

I have never stuck anything on this pup’s back and here he wears a backpack for the very first time and he behaves like he’s been doing this his whole life.

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. This pup is so amazing.
